This third release in Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Glenury Royal series shines a light on the long-closed Glenury Royal Distillery. As with the previous bottlings (which focussed on Brora and Port Ellen), the rare whisky from this lost distillery sits at the core of the blend. Alongside Glenury Royal’s single malt, master blender Dr. Jim Beveridge used malts from Pittyvaich, Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie, and Glenkinchie, as well as grains from Cambus and Cameronbridge to build out the expression.

On the nose is complex and refined. Taste is well balanced. Probably my favorite blended.
My son and two of his friends thought it was a beautiful drink
