Nose, palate and finish all displayed firm notes of spice, butter, cream and chestnuts wrapped in velvet. Sadly finished my last bottle celebrating Manchester United’s last Premier League championship. Lovely day with my mates, gorgeous whiskey and a grand farewell to Sir Alex.
One of the Best Glenmorangie’s ever! Incredibly drinkable and great long finish. Picked up three cases in 2012 and down to last three bottles in 2017. Hopefully one day Glenmorangie will resurrect this dram.
Sublime whisky.
This dram was only available at Christmas around these parts if memory serves. It was always top of my Christmas shopping list. In my local supermarket it was a jaw dropping £20 a bottle. I would love to hear a valid reason for one of the best malts I ever had being shamefully discontinued. I miss it very much.
It is thick in the mouth and leaves a delightful finish that titillates the back of the throat.
