Glenfiddich 125th Anniversary 1987
This is a real find. A very rare bottle of Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky that was distilled on Christmas Day 1987 and bottled to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Speyside distillery. There were just 250 bottles of this one, which wasn’t actually released to retail but instead, the majority were given to attendees of the 125th Anniversary dinner.
🌟 Tasting Notes
-
Nose: Fresh pear, apple blossom, honey, and gentle oak spice.
-
Palate: Smooth and refined with notes of vanilla, dried fruits, malt sweetness, and subtle sherry undertones.
-
Finish: Long and warming with a balance of fruit, oak, and sweet spice.
WARNING: This is STRICTLY intended for persons aged 21 and above. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/alcohol.

Nose: Has a double-layered fruity, sherry scent on the ‘lower’ layer and an flowery scent in the ‘higher’ layer. The alcohol is sharper on the nose than with the 18 or 21 Glenfiddich issues. Taste: A blend between 10 and 20 y/o whiskies so, giving the benefit of these years, 20 seconds on the tongue gives a subtly broad, spiced orange flavour with (to my taste) some faint nutty undertones on the middle to front of the tongue. Finish: Woody with a faint custard cream finish with a long warmth.
