Really complex expression from Macallan. Builds on the taste of the 15 yo triple cask. Sweet citrus and ginger on the nose melting into a Sherried, vanilla caramel on the taste. Opens up into more depth of fruits with a bit of water. Lingering oak after taste. Being a limited release I think it will be quite sought after in years to come.

A wonderful dram, rich and complex. Nose: Buttery toffee, orange notes, a hint of leather and chocolate. Mellow sherried notes. Palate: Sweet and rich, toffee and fruits… canned peaches and a bit of pear, and nuts. Are there some berries there? A bit of spice. Finish: Toffee and chocolate, nutty oak and light dried fruits. It really opens up with a bit of air in the bottle and becomes even better.
