Alright, so I tried The Macallan 15 Year Old Whisky, and it’s like a flavour rollercoaster. The colour is this beautiful rich amber, and the smell hits you with a mix of toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of cinnamon – proper inviting. Taking a sip, it’s a sweet explosion, like caramel and raisins having a party in your mouth. There’s a subtle spicy kick too, which keeps things interesting. The whole experience is smooth, leaving a warm, lingering taste. It’s a bit pricier, but worth it.
I’m not normally a whisky drinker but I drank this one neat to get the true flavour, It wasn’t as good as the 12 year old whisky I felt the combined flavours were too much together, and it was way too expensive.
I couldn’t decide if I wanted to drink it or eat it ?. A delicious mix of apple upside-down cake and whiskey-soaked raisins. Stunning. Quite stunning.
We tried this neat. The nose offered up raisins, apple crumble topping, butterscotch, mince pies along with a subtle smokiness. The palate was smooth with orange peel, dried fruits and subtle smoke. The finish was long with orange peel, ginger warmth and a note of smoke. We really enjoyed this one, take your time and savour the complexity.
Macallan 15 here we have another very good double cask, the American and European oak is doing really good job together. After trying the 12 yo macallan I can see the difference, this one has more deeper and more lovely creamy taste.
